Taken at the Flood (BBC Radio 4 Dramatised)

BBC Radio 4 full-cast dramatisation of Agatha Christie’s 1948 Hercule Poirot novel “Taken at the Flood” (US title: There Is a Tide). A few weeks before the end of the war, wealthy Gordon Cloade marries the much younger Rosaleen and is killed in a London air raid the same night, leaving his fortune to her instead of his dependants. When a stranger named Enoch Arden turns up in the village of Warmsley Vale claiming Rosaleen’s first husband is still alive, the Cloades hope their inheritance can be reclaimed — but he is found bludgeoned to death in his hotel room, and Hercule Poirot is drawn into a tangle of grief, greed and identity. John Moffatt stars as Poirot.
